Age Related Macular Degeneration |
|
The earliest stages of macular degeneration can have very mild symptoms, like a slight decrease in the quality of your vision. As macular degeneration progresses, the decrease in vision becomes more significant and you may notice a distortion of straight lines. That is, doorways and tables look curved or warped instead of straight. The best way to detect macular degeneration is via a complete eye exam. Your eye doctor will check the macula (the most important part of your retina responsible for fine vision) for any early signs of macular degeneration.
