Dr. Anna Sorenson
Dr. Anna Sorenson joined the practice in June of 2026. She was raised in central California and earned her BA in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. In her freshman year, she developed an interest in optometry after enrolling in optical illusions and global eyecare seminars led by deans of UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She trained her peers to operate a variety of retinal cameras for diabetic retinopathy screening at local health fairs, then continued that work training nurses, MDs, and other healthcare providers across the globe as a Program Coordinator at EyePACS, LLC.
Her optometry journey continued across the country in Worcester, Massachusetts at Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) School of Optometry. During her time there, she befriended local VIPs (Visually Impaired People) and helped teach the sighted guide method to Woo Sox stadium employees and Mass DOT engineers. She received her clinical training at Travis AFB in California, Providence CHC where she met the friends that would bring her back to the east coast, and the Villages VA in Florida where she developed a fondness for providing care for vets. After graduating in 2023, she completed residency training in geriatrics, low vision, and ocular disease in Wichita, Kansas at the Robert J Dole VA Eye Clinic.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Rhode Island Optometric Association, and her local Lions Club. Her interests include ocular surface disease, low vision, and myopia control.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with the dog she adopted in Kansas (Calcifer) along with her friends and boyfriend Casey, food, video games, music, hiking, and crafting.
